08/10/2019 – Altus Schools attended Dr. Shirley Weber’s 7th Annual Health Fair and Back to School Kickoff – A FREE Back to School Event. It was a great way to connect with the communities we serve. Our CSSD faculty and staff greeted friends and families of this southeast San Diego community as students prepare to begin their 2019-2020 school year. Our school nurse provided free blood pressure checks as a part of the event’s free health and wellness screenings. Our teachers gave away free school supplies such as pencils, pens, highlighters, sticky notepads and so much more! Visitors spun our “Altus Fun Wheel” for their chance of winning premium prizes such as a water bottle, a reusable bag, or a coffee mug. Our staff brought smiles to the faces of every visitor, young and old at heart, with a free balloon! We enjoyed being a part of this FREE Back to School Event and look forward to returning next year.
